Logan Cutchall, 22, was shot dead in the 600 block of Linden Avenue around 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, according to a release by York City police.
City police arrested his brother Nathaniel "Nate" Cutchall in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue in connection with the shooting death the following day, reports WGAL News 8.
The two brothers had been fighting on their way home from a wedding when Logan pulled out a gun, but Nate took it and unloaded— prompting Logan to leave his brother and three other passengers along the side of the road, PennLive reports citing court records.
When Nate arrived home, the argument began again, and later that evening Nate returned the gun to Logan who then threatened people in the home before the two physically fought in their kitchen— friends arrived to find Logan unresponsive with gunshot wounds, and Nate holding the gun with a gunshot wound to the foot, the outlet says citing court records.
Logan Cutchall was taken to York Hospital where he died from his injuries at 12:05 a.m., according to the York County coroner's office.
Logan previously attended York Adams Academy and was a line worker at the Arm and Hammer warehouse, according to his social media.
His exact cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy, as stated in the coroner's office's release.
The brothers' family and friends have already been sharing about the sudden loss on social media.
Nate Cutchall previously shared a creepy statement on Facebook which reads "Death is only the beginning of greatness."
Details about the nature of the brothers' argument have not been released.
A GoFundMe has been launched to help the brothers' mother in Texas, where the family is originally from.
The organizer of the campaign, Frank Clark, writes in part, "Donna lost her husband, Chris, in 2003 while serving in Iraq in The U.S.Army. Her youngest son Logan passed away on Father's day 2022 at 22."
The funds raised for Donna Cutchall will not only help cover funeral costs for Logan but will be used to help raise funds for Nate's legal costs, as he is currently in York County Prison without bail on a felony Criminal Homicide charge, according to social media posts by Donna's friends and court documents.
Nate's preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Judge James H. Morgan at 9 a.m. July 1, according to his court docket.
Funeral and memorial service details for Logan have yet to be released.
